Women In Medicine and Law For the Cure® is a grassroots organization founded in 2004, bringing women in these two noble professions and friends together for the purpose of philanthropy and fellowship, while having a little fun along the way. The sentinel event of the year is the Women In Medicine and Law Dinner that raises money to help those battling breast cancer.
Whether you help through monetary donations, volunteering your time, or spreading our mission through word-of-mouth, thank you. We couldn't accomplish our goals without the help of supporters like you.
The Women In Medicine & Law Pink Party Committee, along with ThriveWell Cancer Foundation volunteers and staff, host this signature PINK event. All the Pink Party expenses are underwritten by various corporate and individual sponsors so that our donors’ contributions are put to use, helping as many local cancer patients and survivors as possible. Our first 15 years resulted in $2,103,400 sent to Susan G. Komen in the form of a restricted grant for medical research to FIND A CURE.
In 2019, we "re-invented" ourselves by partnering with Thrivewell Cancer Foundation in San Antonio, Texas, sponsoring the DIVA Program. More than $1,000,000 has been raised since then and counting! Our funding will assist in promoting nutrition and exercise for our sisters battling breast cancer.
Our sister event, Paint the Parkway Pink 5k Run and Walk presented by Thrivewell is held every October. This event is aimed to raise awareness and funds to support those with breast cancer. Registered participants can choose between the 5K race, the 1 mile walk, and the kids fun run. Join us for a morning of inspiration!
